Being at last night’s Dodger game was awesome. What a great game.
That’s why the Dodgers have the best record in baseball. When they lose a late inning lead, they don’t just roll over and die. They keep fighting, keep stringing hits together, and keep making opposing teams pay for their mistakes.
It always makes me nervous whenever I see Mota come in with the game on the line, but last night I was gladly proven wrong. Mota through a great inning to keep the game tied.
This game was a perfect example of how the Dodger offense helps out the bullpen. The ‘pen doesn’t have the pressure on it that some have. If the Dodgers lose a lead, they can get it back, so the relievers don’t have to feel quite as much heat.
And finally, while I love to see plenty of people staying until the end of the game, it sure makes getting out of the parking lot a pain.
